Additionally, the moon of Ramadan was sighted in several countries, including the United Arab Emirates, on Friday.
With the sighting of the Ramadan moon, devout Muslims will perform Taraweeh prayers tonight. After having Sahari (pre-dawn meal), they will begin fasting from tomorrow.
Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, and after a month of fasting and self-discipline, they celebrate Eid ul-Fitr.
